Melbourne first into Dewar Shield Grand Final
Mebourne, defending 2009 Premiers, has booked first entry into the Premier Division 1st Grade Grand Final with an exciting win over Minor Premiers Southern Districts 27-23 in the Major Semi Final on Saturday. In the Minor Semi Final Power House kicked a field goal in extra time to defeat Harlequin 37-34. The Preliminary Final this Saturday at Holmesglen Reserve (Harlequin Rugby Club) sees Southern Districts play Power House with the winner to meet Melbourne in the Dewar Shield Grand Final on 11 September at Sparks Reserve, Box Hill.
The Junior Grand Finals will be played this Saturday at Mossfiel Reserve, hosted by the Wyndham City Rugby Club.

WHAT'S NEW
The VRU is hosting the 2010 Rugby 10’s State Championships at Harlequin Rugby Club on the 16th September from 10am until 3pm. The day will see 13 schools and 18 teams battle it out to be named the State Champions of the Rugby 10’s program. In 2010 over 40 Secondary schools have competed in the annual zone tournaments and the 13 schools participating have finished top of their respective divisions.
