Pool Deck Rules: An Overview
It is important that we respect the right of all swimmers to have the best possible coaching. Subsquently,
- Coaches will not be available during training sessions to speak to parents or others.
The Club respectfully requests that Parents
- allow the Coach to give full attention and concentration to swimmers whilst coaching on pool deck; and
- to respect this and understand that Coaches are happy to speak to parents or others regarding the program, answer queries or discuss issues relevant to their child/children's coaching at an appropriate time.
- direct any other queries/issues in relation to the Club itself (eg registration etc) to a committee member and NOT the Coach.
There are three avenues to handle this:
- Wait till the training session is over or catch the Coach before training. Remember the Coach needs to be on time to coach so long discussion may need a different approach.
- Ring the Coach and make an appointment.
- Attend monthly Committee and members meetings.
New swimmers who need to be assessed for squads can, by appointment, attend at the pool on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays between 3-30pm and 4.00pm.
Nightcliff Aquatic Centre is council owned. There are some general pool rules, which must be obeyed by all pool users including swimming clubs. These rules and regulations are put in place to ensure the safety of all pool users.
