LIGHTNING – EVACUATION PROCEDURES

Darwin can be struck by sudden and violent electrical storms and it is very important that all members know and adhere to the procedures as set down by pool management. The Coach will ensure that all swimmers have knowledge of what to do in case of lightning. Please read the following carefully and follow all lifeguard instructions. The Coach may remove swimmers early if there is a threat of lightning. Most often the storm will pass and the swimmers can return to the pool.
