Interclub

Interclub swim meets are hosted by Swimming NT with each Club taking it in turn to act as Duty Club. These swim meets offer an opportunity for all swimmers to compete. All Swimmers are encouraged to compete.

Club Invitational Meets

All Clubs have an opportunity to host an Invitational event during the season.

The host Club makes up the program of swimming events and decides if Medals, ribbons or trophies are presented.

Clubs use sponsorship to help cover the cost of pool hire, production of programs and for trophies/ribbons or monetary prizes.

Club Invitational meets cost about $3000 to run.

Schools City Clusters Competitions

All primary schools in the Northern Territory are in a cluster and are eligible to participate in the annual Tri-Cluster Carnival usually held in October. Entries are organized by participating schools in each Cluster.

Nightcliff Swimming Club 'Dolphin Dash' Club Nights

NSC Dolphin Dash Club Nights are held once per month and are designed to

  • Introduce swimmers who have not competed in any formal sense to give it a go in a friendly, non pressured, encouraging environment;
  • Provide opportunity for seasoned competitors to practice racing skills and/or do time trials against other swimmers of similar or better ability to give them a challenge;
  • Provide opportunity for all swimmers in the Club to meet each other, get to know each other and to watch each other swim;
  • Provide opportunity for all family members to meet each other, get to know each other and watch their children swim in a friendly, non pressured, encouraging environment.
