2010 NATIONAL WOMEN"S CHAMPIONSHIP

The 2010 National Women's Championship were held  in Canberra Friday 4th June – Monday 7th June. Day one was played at ADFA Rugby Field, Russell. The remaining days were staged at Uni-Norths Club in Canberra City.
 

2010 will saw a restructure of the two divisions, which is an exciting move in the development of Women’s Rugby. It was also a chance for players to impress Wallaroos coaches prior to selection for the 2010 Women’s Rugby World Cup staged in England in August

Day One: 
Queensland 17 def Brumbies 12 in a close first match. Queensland (Brown, Noble, Tavo - Tries; Gould - Conv) 17, Brumbies (Hargreaves, Williams - Tries; Hewson -Conv). Rebecca Tavo scored in the last minute to win the game for Queensland.

Sydney 36 def NSW Country 5. Sydney (Beck 2, Ina Mata, Morgan, Soon, Stowers - Tries; Pirie 3-Conv) 36, NSW Country (Bayliss - Tries) 5. Cheryl Soon, Captain of the Wallaroos, lead the Sydney team to their first win of the tournament. 

Victoria 10 def South Australia 0. Victoria (Hodgkinson 2, Hill - Tries; Homman-Ludine, Jacoby- Conv) . iRB Womens Personality of the Year Debby Hodgkinson played for Victoria and made an instant impact in the first half.

Australian Services 22 def NSW Development 5. Australian Services (Downes, Porter, Vakalahi - Tries; Neville, Sullivan- Conv; Sullivan - Pen) 22. NSW Development (Aromire-Tries) 5. Australian Services have shown their strangth early. 

Day Two:
Sydney 11 def Brumbies 10 is another tight match. Sydney (Stowers - Tries; Pirie 2-Pen) 11. Canberra (Williams-Tries; Hewson-Conv; Hewson-Pen). 10.

Queensland 42 def NSW Country 7. Queensland (Tavo 3, Cope, Campbell, Noble- Tries; Gould 3- Conv; Gould - Pen) 42. NSW Country (Riordan-Tries; McGann-Conv). 

NSW Development 73 def Northern Territory 0. (Bievins 2, Finau 2, Shoulders, Thompson, Marsh, Cormican,Ducker, De Decker, Jean, Maclarn, Aromire - Tries; Ducker 4-Conv) 73.   

Day Three:
Victoria 29 def ASRU 5.   Victoria (Cook 2, Leilei, Hill, Kilmister – Tries; Jacoby, Cook – Conv) 29.  ASRU(Allen-Tries) 5
South Australia 54 def Northern Territory 0.   South Australia (Camellein 3, Fata 2, Fry, Reynolds, Madden, Raikiwasa, Allum – Tries; Yates, Bowsher- Conv) 54.

Day Four:
NSW Country 12 def ACT 10.   NSW (Trethowan, Perry – Tries; McGann- Conv) 12.  ACT (Maher- Tries; Hewson- Conv; Hewson-Pen) 10.
ASRU 33 def South Australia 12.   ASRU (Porter 4, Roberts- Tries; Sullivan 4 –Conv) 33.  South Australia(Longstaff, Fata – Tries; Yates-Conv) 12.
