The Sydney meet turns 21!

 

The Sydney Track Classic, a relatively young  event,  continues the two decade long tradition of a regular high profile athletics meet in Sydney.

Up until a few years ago there was only one national level meet conducted in Sydney. In 2005 a second high profile meet was introduced - the Sydney University Track Classic, which was a celebration of the university's sesquicentenary.

Athletics NSW continued the meet under the name Sydney Track Classic in 2006, 2007 and 2008,  2009 with the event growing in profile each year.

In 2010 the Sydney Track Classic will be conducted by Athletics NSW in partnership with Athletics Australia as the only high profile meet in Sydney.
