Water Temperature
The water temperature at Dorney Lake on Thursday morning (May 13) was 11.8 degrees. Wetsuits will be compulsory for both Saturday’s and Sunday’s races. Please be sure to bring your wetsuit with you at the weekend. Please note that neoprene booties and/or gloves are NOT allowed during the swim of a triathlon. However, a neoprene cap can be worn underneath the swim cap that we provide.
Weather Forecast
The outlook is improving for the weekend, but the nights are still cold. There could be one or two showers on Saturday, with temperatures expected to be around 15 degrees max on Saturday and 14 degrees max on Sunday. The water temperature is unlikely to rise significantly. It will be cold in the water, but it is only a short swim!
Car Parking
Please leave plenty of time to get here. Car parking will be at the side of the bike course. The only access will be via the MAIN access road. Just follow the signs as you come into the venue to the designated event car park. You will have at least an 800m walk to the race site, so allow yourself extra time after you have parked your car. It could take you 15 or 20mins to walk from your car. Please keep off the bike course and do not cross any roped-off areas. Arrival and departure is allowed any time.
Your Wave, Start Time and Race Number
We have uploaded start lists onto the website which now show your wave, start time and race number. Please check the details on these lists and make a note of your race number. This will help to speed up registration.
Saturday’s start list is HERE
Sunday’s start list is HERE
No further changes can be made to waves and start times.
BTF cat and Prize cat
Triathlons are organised according to five-year age bands. The start list shows your British Triathlon category (BTF cat) which is automatically assigned to you determined by your age at 31 Dec 2010. However, we do not award prizes in these fixed categories. Our prizes are based on the waves which in turn are determined by the numbers of entrants. Some age groups will have more prizes, eg men’s 30-32 and 33-34, but others will have fewer prizes, eg men Under 30. This is based of the number of entries in any particular category. If you are racing out of your age group wave, you lose you age group status and therefore are not eligible for a prize. This is noted as n/a on the start list.
Race Information
Please be sure to read the full race information available on the website to understand how the event will work.
Saturday’s race information is HERE
Sunday’s race information is HERE
Both events are now full and there will be no entries available on the day.
Registration
We have over 1,000 people racing each day, so please allow plenty of time to register, collect your race numbers, swim cap and timing chip, stick your numbers on your cycle helmet and bike, and rack your bike. Bring your race licence if you have one, or £5 for day membership. You will also need to bring some ID.
Electronic Timing
Don’t forget to collect your timing chip from registration. This is to be worn on your ankle. Your result should be available very soon after you finish and you will be able to view the live results on a big screen in the café area upstairs in the Boathouse.
Medical
If you have any known medical condition, (such as diabetes, asthma, allergy to penicillin, etc.) please write any medical details on the back of your race number and put a small indelible red cross on the front of your number to indicate a known medical issue. Whether you have a medical condition or not, if you feel unwell on race day - don’t race!
Food and Drink
There is a café serving hot and cold drinks and food upstairs in the Boathouse.
Showers and Lockers
There are hot showers and lockers available upstairs in the Boathouse.

Finally
Finally, we look forward to seeing you at Dorney Lake this weekend. We hope you have a great race and enjoy the event. If you are racing on Sunday, do try to watch the children in our Scootathlon from 9:30am. You will end up with a big smile on your face for the rest of the day. Children from 4 years old up to 8 years old will be racing and who knows, our future triathlon Olympic champion may be amongst them!
