Don’t miss your race start!
Get there early!
We have over 2,000 racing. You should aim to be parked up at least an hour and 15mins before your start. You can then relax before you race. Don't arrive late and then have to rush around in a panic. Leave plenty of time to get to Kingston. Some coffee shops should be open. If you have a friend running, please double up in cars. It saves money, fuel and space. Leave plenty of time to get to Kingston.
Car parking
Kingston is not an easy place to park at the best of times! Eden Walk car park is opening early especially for the runners. Have your £3 in coins ready as you arrive at Eden Walk car park – this will speed up access. The car park will open from 6am and you can park till just after 2pm – and there are nice loos there as well!
Directions – if you come over Kingston Bridge follow the signs for Guildford/Surbiton A3, when you start to see the yellow "car park" signs follow them into Eden Walk shopping centre car park. See http://www.edenwalkshopping.co.uk/parking--directions.aspx
Traffic news
Listen to Radio Jackie on 107.8FM. They will be broadcasting from 5am. Please tune in for traffic updates. No news = no problems.
Toilets
Remember to get there early. The toilets can be found behind the Police Station in Kingston Hall Road (see the start map) - they are BEHIND the start area – get there early! They will be open from 6.30am till 11.00am. Don't leave it till the last minute; bring some extra toilet paper just in case. If you can make a stop before Kingston then please do so.
There are NO changing facilities available.
Baggage store
There is a Baggage Store in Memorial Gardens, about 100 metres behind the finish line. Please have a £1 coin ready and write your race number with a black marker pen on both sides of the luggage tag in your race pack before you get to Kingston. Your bag must be deposited 15 mins before your start.
Race number
Please wear your number on your FRONT. Use four safety pins, one in each corner.
Medical info on the back of your race number
It is important that you fill in your details on the back of your race number. This will speed up medical care issues if you have a problem and we need to treat you.
DON’T THINK IT WON’T HAPPEN TO YOU. IT CAN. You need to help us to help you.
