Timex WomenOnly

Weather Forecast

The forecast is sunny and hot, so please ensure you remain fully hydrated in the build up to and during the race. There will be a water station on the run course and at the finish, but please bring a full bottle (or two) for your bike. If you are using energy drink, gels or bars, such as SiS, make sure you have tried them in training prior to race day, otherwise we recommend keeping to water. If you are not feeling well please listen to your body and don’t race.

The Swim and Wetsuits

John Lunt, Director of Human Race Events, has just confirmed that the water temperature has reached 23.5 degrees at Dorney Lake and that wetsuits will NOT be allowed for any of the events there this coming weekend (3rd, 4th and 5th July). Under ITU and BTF ruling, wetsuits are banned when the water temperature is over 22 degrees to avoid overheating and for safety reasons.

RACE INFORMATION

Your Race Number

Please check the website entry list, on the Race Information Page, for the spelling of names, registered BTF club, gender, etc. Let us know asap if any changes need to be made by emailing nerys@humanrace.co.uk. You will collect your race number when you register on Saturday. Please note that if you have changed your wave, you lose your age group status and are not eligible for a prize.

Car Parking

Please follow the marshal’s instructions when you arrive. The race course does not affect parking so you can leave at any time. Remember this is a public place so please do not leave valuables on display.

Registration

Registration will start at 11:00am – priority will be given to those in the first wave.
Please make sure you arrive in plenty of time to register and rack your bike (registration will not open before 11am due to children’s racing (aged 8-16) , which you are very welcome to come and support!).

When you arrive please find your race number on the board and remember it so we can process you quickly at registration. Your registration Race Pack envelope will contain your race numbers and sticky labels for your bike and helmet. You will also have to pick up your timing chip at another desk.
Please have your BTA race licence or your £5 ready when you arrive. You will also need to show some form of ID at registration.

Timing Chip

At registration you will be issued with an electronic timing chip which you wear on your ankle under your wetsuit. There will be a Velcro strap holding the chip which fixes around your ankle; please do not lose this chip as you will be charged £30 to replace it.
You will also be given a security wrist band which you should show to the transition crew at all times to gain access into transition.

Sponsor Offerings

All our sponsors and leading brands will be on site exhibiting and selling their products over the weekend, so don’t worry if you need any last minute items.
