Race Information
The race information will be emailed to you and will be available on the website within the next week. This will outline everything you need to know about your race. Racing starts from 12 noon. You will collect your race number and timing chip when you register on Saturday, however please check the website to confirm your entry details are correct.
The Swim
We realise this is the part a lot of you won’t be looking forward to! However remember you’re not alone and there’ll be lots of people to help you. Dorney Lake also offers a great swim with its calm and clear water and there will be safety crew on hand and to guide you. Whilst not obligatory, we would recommend that you wear a wetsuit – 99% of the field will be wearing one. It doesn’t matter what type of wetsuit you use, but a triathlon specific one is designed to give you added buoyancy and mobility for swimming. The Bike
Again if you don’t have a racing bike, you can use any type of bike however we would encourage you to have it serviced before race day. Once you have registered, you will rack your bike in the secure transition area. If you need any last minute items for your bike or the race all our sponsors and leading brands will be on site exhibiting and selling their products over the weekend, including Triandrun, the UK’s leading triathlon retailer.
Support Our Official Charity, Breast Cancer Care
Many thanks to all of you who are raising fund for this very worthwhile cause. In the UK someone is diagnosed with breast cancer every 12 minutes. Your help will make a difference to those diagnosed with breast cancer and those affected by the disease.
