Registration

As per last year, registration is in a marquee in Alexandra Gardens on Saturday, June 13. You must bring some form of photo ID to pick up your registration pack. If you are a member of Triathlon England, triathlonscotland or the Welsh Triathlon Association, you must bring your race licence as well. Don’t forget to bring along eight safety pins to pin your number front and back.

Triathlon England, triathlonscotland and Welsh Triathlon Association Licences

Remember to bring your race licence if you have one, or pay the £5 non member levy at registration if you are not. For day membership details, call British Triathlon on 01509 226161 and ask for an information pack, with details on joining etc. British Triathlon will also inform you of your local tri club. IF YOU NEED ANY INFORMATION ON TRIATHLON RULES/EVENTS PLEASE RING BRITISH TRIATHLON ON: 01509 226161.

Age Groups

Your age for this race is determined as your age at December 31, 2009 (in accordance with BTF rules), NOT your age on race day. Please make sure you understand which age group you should be starting in.

Parking

Please park in the Windsor Boys’ School field (five minute walk from transition). The school is charging £10 to cover both days and £8 for Sunday only. This is far cheaper than anywhere else in Windsor and far less hassle. Every year people get parking tickets for parking illegally in central Windsor - you have been warned! All monies from car parking will go to the Windsor Boys’ School rugby & cricket tours. Please inform the parking attendants if you intend to leave your car overnight. There is no camping in the car park.

Race Start Times

As per last year, the first wave (Sprint) is planned for 6.00am and the men's Elite wave will be the last to go at 9.20am. This means that the earlier finishers will be able to watch the Elite Men race.

Course Reconnaissance

You are strongly recommended to cycle the bike course before race day, as well as familiarising yourself with both the transition area and the run course. This will help you over the weekend. A good place to meet up and start your recce is Barry's Café on Barry Avenue (see map). Informal groups meet there for 10am starts on Saturday mornings. (Pay and display in Barry Ave).

Triathlon Exhibition

There will be a major triathlon exhibition during registration on Saturday and during the race on Sunday, all the top triathlon suppliers will be available for those last minute items and advice. We recommend that you have your bike serviced well before race day. Contact the following suppliers if you need any items bringing to the event, or if you need any general triathlon advice:
Total Fitness Bath 01225 444164, triandrun 020 8500 4841, TRI UK 01935 433533.

Sponsors

All our sponsors will be at the exhibition, many with interactive features and event offers including Nokia, blueseventy, Specialized, Timex, Science in Sport, Merrell, Zoggs, Craft and our official charity Leukemia Research.
