Dear Timex WomenOnly triathlete

There are now only 2 months to go until the Timex WomenOnly Triathlon. In order to make sure you are fully prepared for the event we just thought we'd give you a few pointers on things that will help get you ready for the day.

WomenOnly1

WomenOnly Training Day - 16th May

If this is your first triathlon and you're wondering what to expect then this training day is perfect. It will cover some essential tips on all elements of the the event - swim, bike, run and transition. For those who have not already signed up for this training day, we only have a limited number of places left. If you'd like to join us then simply Enter Here, entries close on Sunday the 10th May.

Open Water Swim Training - 17th May or 24th May (Sundays)

Do you feel comfortable with the bike and run but are dreading the swim? Rest assured, you're probably not the only one! We know that swimming in open water can be daunting so we have organised specific swim seminars with our swim partner Zoggs to cover how best to deal with the swim. Sessions last for 2 hrs ( including 45min theory and 45 min practical) - and you'll also get the chance to try open water swimming in a wetsuit provided by Blue Seventy. If you are interested in finding out more and booking your place, then the links are:

Training Plan

If you'd like a little bit of help to focus on your training then we also have a solution for you. There is a free 12 week training plan available on our website so CLICK HERE to access our training page which also includes some other good hints and tips for the day.

Bike hire and wetsuit purchase

Quite a few of you have been enquiring about the possibility of hiring bikes for the day, and our retail partner triandrun do hire bikes. Simply access their website for further details www.trianrun.com.

If you haven't got a wetsuit and think this is something that you'd be interested in purchasing then we have negotiated a great deal for all our athletes - simply have a look at our Human Race Shop for more details.

So, we hope that this helps you prepare for the event - good luck with the training and we'll see you on 4th July.
